Textile Art

Wool is an exciting medium that can be applied to many art forms. Fleece and spun yarn can be used to create painterly works, sculptures and wearable art. Knitted forms can take any shape, texture and colour. Knitted pieces are fantastically malleable and can be further rendered and embellished so there is endless scope for creating imaginative works.

My approach to creating textile art in wool is always experimental. Though I have strong themes in mind at the outset, I cast off all constraints and push the boundaries of patience and possibility. I am always prepared to follow a new direction that an initial experiment reveals, and there are always many possibilities that flow from even the smallest experiment.
