Many thanks to all those who have mailed to say how much they enjoyed reading Road Movies Volume 1. A regular feature of these mails is a comment on the large number of musical references in the book. This led me to go through the text counting them, and yes, you are right: there are lots. They were not planned. I love music and listen to it constantly, so I suppose Road Movies reflects this fact. For those who are interested, all the songs and albums referred to are listed opposite. Been Here And Gone So Soon by The Insect Trust is listed twice but it is actually mentioned frequently throughout the book, as it became the signature tune to my travels.
